OUR STORY


My Great Grandfather, Grant Stone along with my great uncle Elwood started our family in the fence industry in the 50’s. The business was then passed on to my Grandfather, Raymond “Blackie” Verbeck, joined by my Grandmother Beth Blackie, was one of the first Manufactured housing business owners in the United States and a proud Veteran of the Korean War. His work ethic was second to none. In their honor we took parts of both of their names, Blackie and Stone, and formed Blackstone Outdoor Services which is the parent company of Pro Fence and our Flooring company, Rock Candy Epoxy Products.

While I never got to work side by side with these men they passed their knowledge down through the family to my grandfather, Uncle, and father. All of whom I have had the pleasure of learning our craft, and have passed it on to my sons, who help run these companies today.

We do not just run the companies. We get out on every job in progress every day. This is to insure the happiness of our clientele, as well as our installers. When we say it’s a family business, we mean it.
